JUNE 2011

Greetings Brethren,
A hearty welcome to the month of June! As I write this the rain is coming down and it is unseasonably cool for the month of May. However summer is just around the corner.
An attempt has been made to contact everyone by phone to correct an error in the May trestle board concerning the date of Wor. William Pierson's Golden Veteran Award. If you were not contacted by phone would you please consider contacting one of the officers to make sure we have the correct number. I found several "no longer in service" numbers on my portion of the list.
At the June 7th dinner and stated meeting we will present the Golden Veteran Award to Bro. Charles Roady. Please come out and join us for this event.
There is not much scheduled for the next couple of months, but the Tuesday night practices will continue. If you are looking for some company I am usually at the lodge around 6:15pm and practices don't start until a little after 7:00pm. All are welcome to come by and visit. Have a great month.

JUNE 2011
Brethren,
Summer is almost
here! In fact, it is only a few more weeks until we will celebrate the
longest day of the year. If you take advantage of the extra daylight to
catch up on your Honey-do list, you may be able to reap some benefits later
on. That is so long as your Honey doesn't use the extra time to add to the
list.
We will start the
month off with two Golden Veteran Awards to be presented on the evening of
our Stated Meeting. Larry Lindsey will receive his at his home prior to
dinner and Charles Roady will receive his at the Lodge after dinner.
Remember, the ladies are always invited to our dinners unless specifically
notified otherwise. We really do e11ioy their company at these festive
culinary events.
Some of you are
STILL wondering if you will ever receive your dues card for 2011 or at least
a notice to send me a sufficient amount of coin of the realm to induce me to
honor you with my signature and the Lodge Seal on a small piece of blue
paper. I AGAIN offer my humble apology to all concerned and assure you I AM
working on the problem. As the saying goes - the hurrier I go, the behinder
I get. Guess I better slow down a bit
Freddy has
announced that more daylight should mean longer walks. Sometimes a person
just can't win.
